Residence 33D at 15 East 30th Street, the Madison House tower in NoMad, has sold for $4.25 million. Lena Datwani and Anu Banerji of Sotheby's International Realty's Downtown Manhattan Brokerage represented the seller.
The corner home has two bedrooms and two and a half baths in 1,674 square feet. It sits high in the Handel Architects–designed tower, with 11-foot ceilings and south, east and west exposures. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the rooms with light and frame panoramic city views. An entry foyer leads into a living and dining space for both entertaining and everyday life. At its center is an open chef's kitchen with large windows, custom rift-cut cabinetry by Gachot, a honed Calacatta Borghini marble waterfall island and backsplash, and a full suite of integrated Gaggenau appliances, including a combi-steam oven, a convection double oven and a wine refrigerator.
A private vestibule sets the primary suite apart from the living areas. The suite has a generous walk-in closet and a spa-like bath clad in honed Bianco Dolomiti marble, with a custom Gachot vanity, Dornbracht fixtures, a Kaldewei soaking tub and radiant heated floors. The second bedroom has its own en-suite bath and equally strong city views. The home also has white oak plank floors, solid walnut doors, electronic window treatments, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a powder room finished in Calacatta Nuevo and Absolute Black marble. A large deeded storage unit conveys with the apartment.
Madison House offers residents more than 30,000 square feet of amenities. These include a double-height attended lobby and a spa with a 75-foot lap pool, cold plunge, hot tub, steam room, sauna and treatment suite. There is also a landscaped roof garden, a Gachot-designed private lounge and bar, a 14-seat dining room with a catering kitchen, a sports lounge with a golf simulator and billiards, a fitness center, a yoga studio, and card, reading and children's playrooms. With this sale, Datwani and Banerji have placed one of the tower's best-lit corner layouts with its next owner.
