2 East 88th Street, 11th Floor Sold for $16.0M by Adam D. Modlin
A full-floor prewar co-op in Carnegie Hill, with views over Central Park and the Reservoir, has sold through The Modlin Group.
Adam D. Modlin of The Modlin Group has sold the 11th floor at 2 East 88th Street, a full-floor prewar co-op in Carnegie Hill, for $16 million. The sale closed in October.
The apartment takes the entire floor of a 1929 building with 13 units, so it has light from the east, north, south and west. A wood-paneled private elevator foyer opens to a gallery and a great room with a gas fireplace and views of Central Park, the Reservoir and the Guggenheim. An oak-paneled library and a formal dining room complete the entertaining rooms.
The kitchen has travertine counters and Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, next to a laundry room and a staff bedroom or office with its own powder room. The primary suite has a lounge with Guggenheim and park views, a walk-in closet and a double-width shower. The two other bedrooms each have their own bath, one with a soaking tub.
In all, the residence has eight rooms, three bedrooms and three full and one half baths. The building has a full-time doorman and two elevators. With this sale, Modlin has placed one of the few full-floor homes overlooking the Reservoir.
