Dan Urbach Closes a $10M French Country Estate at 25242 Prado Del Misterio in Calabasas’s Estates of the Oaks
The Compass broker closes a gated French Country compound of more than 14,000 square feet on nearly an acre, with a chef’s kitchen, theater, gym, guest house, and pool behind the double gates of The Oaks.
Dan Urbach of Compass has closed the sale of 25242 Prado Del Misterio in Calabasas for $10,000,000. The home closed in October 2026.
Set behind the double gates of the Estates of the Oaks at the end of a cul-de-sac, the French Country residence spans three levels and more than 14,000 square feet on just under an acre. A circular driveway under a mature oak leads to a porte-cochère and a four-car garage, with mountain and tree views wrapping the lot.
The main house is built for large-scale living and entertaining. A grand chef’s kitchen is paired with a secondary full-service kitchen for catering-scale events. Two dining rooms, a two-story library and study, a theater, a wine cellar with tasting room, a gym with sauna, and two executive offices fill out the program. Finishes run to hardwood, stone and mixed surfaces across the formal rooms, with the proportions reading more like a small hotel than a typical suburban build.
The primary suite occupies a private main-level wing with two fireplaces, a separate sitting room, dressing rooms, and dual spa-inspired baths with expansive walk-in closets. Guest accommodations continue in a separate, self-contained guest house with its own living room and fireplace, a bedroom, a dining room and a kitchenette.
Outdoors, manicured lawns frame a sparkling pool and spa and an outdoor kitchen. The guard-gated Oaks setting and the cul-de-sac frontage keep the compound quiet even at this scale.
For Urbach, who represented both sides of the transaction, it is a major Oaks close: a finished French Country estate with the full amenity stack rarely assembled in one address.
