Robert A.M. Stern Architects designed the house, which was completed in 2011. It's a stone, brick and stucco Arts and Crafts-style home in Villanova Heights, a private enclave next to the Fieldston Historic District, on about 0.57 acres.

A columned front porch leads into a double-height entrance hall. The living room has a fireplace, a coffered ceiling and French doors to the rear patio and lawn. It's joined by a formal dining room, a library, a family room with a second fireplace and a large center-island kitchen with three sinks. There are five bedrooms, five full baths and three half baths over three floors, and an elevator reaches every level. The primary suite has its own sitting room, a fireplace, a dressing room and two walk-in closets. The finished lower level adds a recreation room, an exercise room and a playroom.
