Michaela Morton and The Jane Advisory of Compass have closed the sale of 59 Lefferts Place in Clinton Hill for $6,750,000. The sale closed on September 24, 2026.

The 22-foot-wide townhouse sits on a rare 140-foot-deep lot on a leafy Clinton Hill block, and it has been completely reimagined by its owners. The architecture is by BAOO and the garden by Brook Landscape. The result pairs a historic Brooklyn house with an unusually high grade of natural materials and craftsmanship.

Arches are the home's signature: lofted doorways, barrel-raised ceilings and skylights, and a wall of doors that draws the garden into the parlor floor. A curved, limewashed fireplace anchors the luminous parlor. Original doors, mantelpieces, stairs and railings sit alongside reconstructed medallions, designer fixtures from Alexandre Biaggi, Louis Jobst and Allied Maker, honed and polished stone, zellige tile and brass hardware.

The kitchen is fitted with Thermador, Miele, Bosch and Sub-Zero appliances, and the parlor floor adds a jewel-box powder room and a wet bar. The top floor is given over to a primary suite with twin walk-in closets, a skylit library and a luminous, hammam-like bath. The garden level has a king-size bedroom and a family room with a wood-burning fireplace, an integrated projector system and its own custom kitchen. A fully equipped gym fills the lower level. In all, the house has five bedrooms, three full baths and a powder room.

Out back, the 1,600-square-foot garden is planted with serviceberry and fig trees, lavender and vining tomatoes, with a patio, pathways, separate places to dine and relax, and a cold plunge for summer nights. The house is legally a two-family and lives as a single-family home; it converts by locking two doors.

The block is a short walk from Otway Bakery, Sisters, Locanda, Coffeeland and Smor, with Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park, BAM and Barclays Center all close by.

For Michaela Morton and The Jane Advisory, it is a standout Brooklyn close: one of Clinton Hill's most beautifully finished townhouses, with a garden to match.
