Peter Ocean of SERHANT. has closed the sale of Penthouse B at 655 Sixth Avenue, a duplex at the landmarked O'Neill Building in Chelsea. The condominium sold for $10,600,000 in October 2026.

The residence spans 4,819 square feet inside, with three terraces adding more than 2,500 square feet of outdoor space. Its 53-foot great room is framed by more than 220 linear feet of south- and east-facing windows, with skyline views. The kitchen is built for entertaining, with a large center island, Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, a butler's pantry and a separate breakfast room. The home is set up as three bedrooms but was designed for four. The whole upper level belongs to the primary suite, which has a spa bath, two walk-in dressing rooms and its own terrace.

The signature feature is the building's gold-coated Neo-Grec cupola, one of only a handful left in New York, which can serve as a media room or office. A private service entry, a laundry room and a 250-square-foot storage unit next to the apartment complete the home.

The O'Neill Building opened in 1887 as a department store on the Ladies' Mile and became condominiums in 2005. It has a 24-hour doorman, a concierge and a 4,000-square-foot common roof deck with an outdoor kitchen, and the West Village and Flatiron are close by.
