Christine Miller Martin, Hunter Hulshizer and Ace Ellsweig Close a $5.4M Renovated Prewar at 876 Park Avenue 9N

The Compass team closes a light-filled seven-room Park Avenue co-op with Central Park and skyline views, a wood-burning fireplace and a primary suite of rare prewar scale.

$5,400,000 · Close October 2026 · prewar co-op (1917) · 7 rooms · 3 bed · 3 bath · about 10-ft ceilings · wood-burning fireplace · eat-in kitchen · butler's pantry · in-unit laundry

Christine Miller Martin, Hunter Hulshizer and Ace Ellsweig of Compass have closed the sale of 876 Park Avenue, Unit 9N, for $5,400,000. The home closed in October 2026.

The residence is a meticulously renovated prewar co-op on Park Avenue, reworked as a sophisticated seven-room apartment with about ten-foot ceilings, refined moldings and hardwood floors throughout. A semi-private elevator landing opens to an elegant foyer and a grand entrance gallery.

The living room carries the prewar note: a wood-burning fireplace, oversized north-facing windows and the sense of scale that defines the best Park Avenue rooms. French doors open to a gracious dining room, with a wet bar beyond for entertaining. A sunlit corner library looks toward Central Park and can serve as a third bedroom beside a windowed full bath.

The windowed eat-in kitchen is built for daily use and larger gatherings, with custom cabinetry, soapstone counters, dual sinks and stainless appliances including a vented Viking range, Miele dishwasher, Sub-Zero refrigerator and a wine refrigerator. A butler's pantry and a laundry/utility room with a vented washer and dryer sit just off the kitchen.

The corner primary suite was created by combining two bedrooms. It overlooks Park Avenue, with custom closet space and an expansive en-suite bath — double vanity, glass-enclosed shower and soaking tub. A second bedroom has its own marble en-suite bath.

876 Park Avenue is a 1917 white-glove cooperative of just 27 residences by W. L. Rouse and L. A. Goldstone, with a full-time doorman, fitness center and private storage. For Martin, Hulshizer and Ellsweig, it is a classic Upper East Side close on one of the avenue's most enduring blocks.
